We (family of five) will be staying Nov/27-Dec/3. We are interested in attending the Very Merry Christmas Parade. However, does the entire park close down on the nights that parade is offered because I only plan on attending the parade one night?

    Hi Jennifer,

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event held each winter on select nights at Magic Kingdom.  You do have to buy a separate event ticket to attend.  Generally what happens is that the park will close early and only Guests with the special event tickets are allowed in.  The party usually starts at 7:00pm.

It is a wonderful holiday celebration that is worth every penny (& then some) in my book.  I'm not embarrassed to say that 2010's parade was so perfect it made me cry.  If you can swing the cost, do it.

You are visiting Walt Disney World during my favorite part of the year.  I hope you have a magical vacation.

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
