    Our family of five will be staying at Fort Wilderness. We would like to prepare several meals at our cabin, by using the kitchen and BBQ. What would you recommend as the best/most inexpensive way to purchase groceries. We will not have a rental car. THX :)

    Hi Michael,

    My recommendation is to use a grocery delivery service to have your groceries delivered.  Disney Mom Kay is actually at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness right now, and just reported to us that she had a great experience with gardengrocer.com!  You can arrange to have your groceries delivered directly to your cabin (or any Disney resort).  They carry a wide variety of products including fresh produce and dairy items.  Many guests have reported similarly good experiences with this service.  You can handle the entire transaction online if you like (from picking items to paying).

    You can also purchase a variety of basic groceries at the general store at the Fort, but are likely to get a bigger variety via the delivery service.

    PS - This is Kay's first stay at the Cabins, and she's having a wonderful time.  In fact, she said she's going to include the Fort on her list of Disney resorts to visit during her many yearly visits going forward!
