Family of five going in May. We have the quick service dining plan but don't want to use a meal for breakfast. Any ideas of what foods would be good to bring to eat in hotel room before going to parks?

    Hi David!
Congratulations!  Your will be on your way to the most magical place on earth before you can say Mickey Mouse.  My family loves using Disney's Dining Plan, but we often eat breakfast in our room just save a little time and money.  Here are some of my favorite quick fixes for breakfast:
Individual Cereal Bowls- these are in most grocery chains or superstores. They already come in their own bowls so just pack disposable spoons and pick up some milk at your resort's gift shop or food court.
Individual Bowls of Oatmeal- Quaker Oats now has oatmeal that is similar to the individual cereal bowls and the oatmeal is delicious. In order to  heat it up, I just heat up the water in the coffee maker and mix it together. This is a wonderful way to have a warm breakfast when you don't have a microwave.
Cereal Bars- This is a staple when we visit Disney World and work especially well for any light breakfast eaters and make a great snack.
Pop Tarts-  I couldn't leave out a cultural icon such as these, they will keep growling tummies filled until lunch time.
Muffins- Making these at home before you go and storing them properly will give you a quick breakfast with a taste of home.
Fruit- This can be a really good option, but be careful of fruits that tend to bruise easily.
If bringing any of this with you might be a problem, try using a service such as WeGoShop.com or Garden Grocer.  I have been very pleased with both of these companies, everything I ordered was waiting for me upon check in and wegoshop.com will even shop from the store you select if it's available in the Orlando area.I can go to my local superstore to make my list and know exactly what I will be receiving.I hope this helps!

    Enjoy your "Disney Time!"
