Our family of five (kids 10,8,6) will be visiting Disney for our 1st time in May. We're booked in a GV @ the Poly. I would like to request either Samoa or Tokelau. Although I've heard Samoa is convenient it can be heavy with traffic. Any recommendations?

    Aloha Kiley!

You're going to love Disney's Polynesian Resort!  What a great place to stay on your first visit to Walt Disney World.  There's no other place quite like this tropical paradise.  Nothing beats staying on the monorail line in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World.

Samoa is really located in the heart of the action at this resort.  I love this location because it is sandwiched between the Nanea Volcano Pool and the quiet pool on property.  You're close to the boat dock and the Great Ceremonial House, where you will find shops, restaurants, and the monorail station.  Of the two choices you mention in your question, Samoa would be my preference.

However, if you feel that your family might prefer a more secluded location, then choose Tokelau.

Don't forget to try one of the tasty soft serve pineapple ice cream treats served in Capt. Cook's during your stay.  Yum!

Wishing you a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
