My family of five (kids) 11,11,14 are planning our first trip to Disney World in the summer of 2016 in the first week of June at the resort Disney's Beach Club Resort I was wondering about how much do you tip the staff when needed?

    Hi there, Kimberly!

I'm so excited to hear that you're planning your very first vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! If you haven't already, you may want to order your Free Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD so you can all sit down with a great big bowl of popcorn and watch as the magic unfolds right before your eyes.

Tipping is one of those subjects that is so personal sometimes, but I'm happy to share what my family does. The general rule of thumb for tipping Mousekeeping is $1 per person per day. Now, this is just a rule of thumb that I've come up with by reading different articles online that talk about hotel gratuities. There are 4 of us in my family and for the most part, we keep the room pretty tidy. Let's say though, that we were out enjoying Extra Magic Hours until 3:00 a.m. and had to rush out the following day for very late breakfast Advanced Dining Reservations and we left the room a bit more messy than usual. I might leave and extra dollar or two that day just because.

It's all up to you on how you decide to handle that. I sure hope this helps.

Please let us know if we can help with any other questions you have as you're planning your Pixie Dusted vacation!
