My family of five will be going to Disney World Apri; 1-4. I would like to be as frugal as possible about food. I was considering packing a cooler and having lunch at our car in the parking lot. Would that be feasilble?

    Hi Debbie,

You will be happy to learn that Guests are allowed to bring snacks and food that do not require heating into any Walt Disney World Theme Park.  So, you won't have to leave the park to enjoy your lunch!

Just make sure you do not pack any glass containers (not including baby food jars), and also inform the Security Cast Members of any food items you are bringing in when you go through Bag Check at the Park Entrance.

We usually carry snacks and juice/water in our backpacks or small cooler totes.  We have been known to freeze the juice/water, and even fruit, and use it to keep our other food items, such as sandwiches & string cheese, cool.  The drinks are usually thawed enough to drink by the time we are ready to enjoy it!

As for leaving the Park to eat in your car, you are certainly welcome to do that.  However, it will take away from the time you could be spending in the Park, and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy your lunch inside the Parks.

I hope you have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World!
