We are a family of five. Our children's ages are 9, 7, and 3. Is there any way we can stay at the movies resort or Caribbean with our 3 year old in a crib, instead of the Port Orleans riverside or the family suites?

Hi Holly! Unfortunately, the numbers given for the maximum in a specific room is strictly adhered to at all Disney resorts. Children three and older are considered paying guests since they will need park tickets and dining plan amenities and it won't make any difference in what kind of bed they sleep in.

Have you considered the Fort Wilderness cabins? They will sleep six and come with a full kitchen and one bath plus a grill and deck. They are individual cabins set up in loops and all are connected by walking paths or internal buses. You can even rent a golf cart during your stay although they are a bit pricey. There are great things happening at this resort such as the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, and Chip and Dales Campfire Singalong. You can also enjoy horseback riding, pony rides, canoeing, archery, fishing, tennis, skyway tours and much more. There are two pools with one including a large slide and children's fun water area. The main bus stop for all parks except for the Magic Kingdom is located at the front of the resort.  The marina is where you can hop on a boat to the Magic Kingdom park or one that will take you to the Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge.

The sleeping arrangement in the cabins consists of a small bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. Then there is a pull down Murphy bed in the living area which is actually quite comfortable. Each cabin has a portable crib in the closet. Storage is at a minimum but there are lots of little nooks where you can put things. Daily maid service, DVD player, and complimentary wifi are included. Take a look as this might be a great spot for your family. It is what my own kids want every time they come to visit!
