My family of five, 2 adults, 2 children ages 9 and 6 (no height restrictions), and 1 infant. What's the best way to use the child swap feature in conjunction with our FastPasses?

Hello, Shannon! FastPass+ is the easiest way to get to all your favorite rides in one day! There’s an easy way to combine Rider Switch Service with your FastPass+ Reservations.

I have two little kids, one of whom is tall enough for his favorite coaster, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but sadly, my baby girl can’t ride along with us. This is when we love to make FastPass+ reservations for the Mine Train, up to 60 days in advance when we stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. When we arrive during our FastPass+ assigned time, my son gleefully leaps into the FastPass line with my husband. I walk them up to the line, sharing that I, too, have a FastPass+ for this hour, but need to utilize Rider Switch for our baby girl.  I am handed either a tag or a paper pass for when my husband has finished the ride.

When my guys have exited the ride, my husband takes over “baby duty” and I get to visit Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs! Rider Switch usually allows me (the chaperone) to take a companion on the ride, so I take my son for his second spin. Using the Rider Switch in conjunction with the FastPass+ system allows all three rollercoaster riders in our family to enjoy the attraction while never leaving the baby alone, which is important!

You can use this same strategy with your family of 5, and the chaperone can alternate which child they take for a second go-round. You can find more FAQ on Rider Switch Service here! Please feel free to ask me another question to help plan your magical vacation. ~Lindsey P.
