Tammi from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Family of 8. Five adults, 1 child with autism, 1 five year and 1 infant. We have four day tickets (1 park each day). Still need to add tickets. Curious to know how we are working with Disability Pass, along with fast pass, rider switch, etc.?

    Hi Tammi,

As a mom with a child on the autism spectrum myself, I'd be happy to explain the differences between all of these wonderful services. First, FastPass+ is a complimentary service available to everyone where you'll be able to select three attractions or experiences per day to bypass the standby lines. Once you've enjoyed those three selections, you'll be able to use the My Disney Experience app or an in-park kiosk to make one more selection at a time, subject to availability, throughout your day.

Rider Switch is a service provided if you have someone in your party who is not yet tall enough or does not wish to experience an attraction. You'll simply ask the Cast Member at the queue entrance if they offer Rider Switch and if so, they'll provide you with a pass. The majority of your party may go ahead and hop in line (this service is offered whether you utilize the standby or FastPass+ lines) while one of you waits with those who are not riding. Once your party has finished, the person waiting and one other Guest may enter the FastPass+ queue and enjoy the attraction too.

Disability Access Service is offered for Guests who are unable to tolerate traditional queues. To qualify, you'll need to stop by Guest Relations when you arrive to discuss your concerns with a Cast Member. Once you are approved for the program, you'll request the use of the Disability Access Service at an attraction entrance and will be given a return time to enjoy the attraction. You may come back at any point after that time, but you may only use this service on one attraction at a time. Also, the Guest who qualified for the service must be riding.

You may use all three of these services interchangeably as needed. I hope they help you have a magical vacation, Tammi!
