Hi Jessica,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad to offer you some advice for this special first vacation to Walt Disney World for you and your family. Since this is his first visit to Walt Disney World, everything will be so special for your young son. From climbing the steps to his very own Treehouse at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa, to the first time he sees the castle at Magic Kingdom Park, everything will be magical for him.
I definitely recommend getting your son the "First Visit" pin, available at no extra charge at Guest Relations at each of the four theme parks. By wearing this pin, cast members will be alerted that it is his first time at Walt Disney World. Although you should not expect any special treatment as a result of the pin, even the little extra magic when a cast member acknowledges his first visit is special. Likewise, when making dining reservations at Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to mention that it is your first visit. Although there is no guarantee of anything extra special happening, it will be noted on the reservation.
For an additional cost, you can contact
Disney Floral and Gifts before you arrive. Working with them, you can arrange for a surprise to be delivered to your room, including items such as plush animals and balloons, all personalized to your son. You can go through the website or call them at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438).
I hope that this gives you some ideas for your son's first visit, Jessica. Please do come back with any further questions that you may have!
