Hi Angie!
As last minute planner, I have often book our dining reservations right before our trip. In fact, even when I book our reservations 180 days in advance, I usually add new reservations to itinerary when my kids want a specific experience or when I am craving a favorite dis. I am happy to tell you that since Guests often do change their plans and itinerary, you can still enjoy some of the amazing dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort with just a little bit of flexibility, patience and perseverance.
The best way to find reservations for the dining experiences you are interested in is to keep searching! As I am preparing for a trip, I will look for reservations every day or every few days to see what is available. When you are
searching for dining reservations, I recommend that you search over the entire meal you are interested in, rather than a specific time. By searching for "Lunch" rather than "12:00 p.m.", you will find all openings for that meal, rather than just around your specific time. When you are searching for dining reservations, you can find the available meals at the top of the time drop-down menu. If you can be flexible with your meal times, it may help you find reservations to the restaurants you are interested in!
In my experience, I have found that many reservations open the week of my trip, with quite a few becoming available the day before. So I recommend that you use the use the
My Disney Experience mobile app during your trip to continue looking for reservations. In fact, I just got back from an incredible trip to Walt Disney World Resort and I was able to find some great reservations to several restaurants, including Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and Whispering Canyon Cafe!
T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
