This would be are family first time going to Disney. We are very excited. I have five kids from ages 7 to 24 years old. I try to by tickets for the parks looking for a good package for more than on park for at least 3 days so they will have fun .

Hi, Melina! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question! We're a group of Disney fans just like you who enjoy visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. And when we're not planning our own vacations, we love to help other Guests make their Disney dreams come true!

You have the right idea to start your Walt Disney World vacation planning by thinking about how many days you'd like to visit, and then buying your theme park tickets. You can purchase tickets online right on the Walt Disney World website, so it's really easy to get started! Before you do buy those tickets, though, you also need to know about the Disney Park Pass reservation system. Disney implemented it as part of the reopening procedures to limit the number of Guests in the theme parks, and it's still in place right now. This system requires each Guest to make a reservation in advance for the initial theme park we want to visit each day. You can see which parks have reservations open on the dates you want to visit by checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. Right now, next week is looking pretty booked up, so it may be tough to get the reservations you want.

Melina, if at all possible, you may have better luck getting theme park reservations if you can schedule your trip for the end of July or in August. Looking at the calendar, all of the parks have plenty of availability then, so you'll have the whole World to explore! If you can't reschedule, your best alternative is to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets and make reservations for a park that does have availability, then hop to a different park later in the afternoon.

You may find it helpful to chat with a Cast Member about your options, so feel free to call Disney's Guest Relations at (407) 939-7679 for help with planning your vacation. I know that sometimes it helps to just speak to someone one-on-one.

I hope you find a practically perfect time to plan your visit to Walt Disney World, Melina. Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
