My family is going on our first ever Disney vacation in December and will be there 7 nights, so we have 6 park days. I'm trying to figure out whether we should do Magic Kingdom for 3 days or do another park like Hollywood Studios for 2 days?

Hi, Brianne!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Be sure to pick up complimentary "First Visit" buttons from a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or any Guest Relations location.  You never know what kind of pixie dust will come your way when you're wearing those buttons.

There is so much to see and do at the Most Magical Place on Earth, especially for first-time guests, so I'm so glad that you have a nice, long visit planned.  When we have the time in our vacation itinerary, my family likes to spend two days at Magic Kingdom Park.  In my opinion, visiting Magic Kingdom Park is the quintessential Walt Disney World experience, so I'm glad to hEAR that you are planning on spending at least two days there to take it all in.  As for whether or not you should add on a third Magic Kingdom Park day or spend an extra day in one of the other theme parks, it's really a matter of personal preference.

I would suggest that you and your family do some resEARch.  On the Walt Disney World website, take a look at all of the attractions and entertainment options found in each theme park.  Decide what your must-dos are, and plan your theme park days accordingly.  For example, if the Force is strong with your family, you may want to spend some extra time at Disney's Hollywood Studios exploring the immersive new land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  Keep in mind that if you add the Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets, you will be able to visit more than one park per day if you wish.

Once you know which parks you will be visiting on which days, be sure to make your FastPass+ selections.  FastPass+ will allow you to experience some of the most popular attractions with very little wait time.  If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you may make your FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your arrival.  If you are staying elsewhere, FastPass+ selections can be made 30 days in advance.

Keep in mind that since you will be visiting during the holiday season, there will be even more to see and do.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot are two of my favorite holiday events.
