My family first Disney World Vacation 8-23 , taking my son (7) and nephew (4). Because this is our first trip I would like to budget can you suggest how much spending money I should bring ( we are on the dinning plan only have to pay for breakfast)

    Renee:

I typically recommend to folks to budget about $10 to $12 for a quick-service breakfast, but everyone eats differently.

You didn't mention at which resort you'll be staying on your vacation, but my recommendation is to take a peak at the Dining section on your resort's landing page at www.disneyworld.com and look at the menu for its Quick Service restaurants or food courts. There, you can get a good overview of the prices to expect. I have found that the breakfast platters typically run from $5 to $9 depending on your appetite with a la carte items at $3 or $4.

The last time we enjoyed the Disney Dining Plan, we used snack credits to get items from the bakery at the Magic Kingdom for breakfast and even saved a few desserts in our fridge, so we didn't lose time from the parks nor did we have to pay much out-of-pocket.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
