Ahoy Susan –
A big “Howdy” to you from the Lone Star State and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Being a native Texan, I can tell you all about cruising the
Wonder out of
Galveston. Of course, I have never had to arrive via air since Galveston is close by, but let me reassure you that with Disney Cruise Line, all of the details are taken care of! Yes, there is
Disney Ground Transportation to Galveston. Guests will fly into Houston via George Bush Intercontinental Airport where they will be met outside of baggage claim and then ride an air conditioned motor coach to Galveston island. If you would like to set up a Disney Transfer, please call
(800) 951-3532 at least 3 days prior to your trip. There is also private limo, town car, and taxi service available.
Just in case you decide to rent a car and drive to Galveston, there are parking garages and surface lots at your service. Prices vary based on the proximity to the cruise terminal (closer is more expensive) and the number of days needed. If you plan to do this, I
STRONGLY encourage you to book your parking several months ahead of time for the best rate and location. I could not find a daily rate posted because they are based on the length of your cruise. For example, parking for a 4-day cruise will range from $35-$55. Visit
www.Galveston.com and search for cruise parking to get an exact quote. Susan, I hope “ya’ll” enjoy your Texas cruise and thanks for “two-stepping” by to visit with us!
