    My family and I are going on our first Disney cruise in 12/2018. My oldest child will be turning 14 in 01/2019 and will not want to be considered part of the "tween" group! Will they make an exception for her to attend Vibe (teen group)?

    Hi Cayce!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so excited that your family will be venturing out on your FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation!  And I love that you will be experiencing a Very Merrytime sailing!  The holiday-themed sailings are great because not only do you get everything that a Disney Cruise vacation offers, but you also get some extra festive decorations and activities as well!  What a way to get in the holiday mood!

    In my opinion, the Youth Clubs onboard are one of the best perks of a Disney Cruise Line vacation! Not only does it allow the younger cruisers a space to call their own and participate in their own activities, but it also allows the parents an opportunity to do some onboard activities sans kids!  I understand your daughter’s reservations about being placed in a club with some kids younger than her so I recommend you discussing it with the Youth Counselors at Vibe when you get onboard.  From my understanding, exceptions can be made on a case by case basis and may require parents filling out a form giving permission for their child to participate in another club.  I do suggest visiting both on embarkation day to see both spaces and learning about the activities in each!  Then, if she would prefer Vibe,  you can discuss with the counselors and see if the exception can be made.  There are also scheduled Open House hours that youth (and parents!) can visit the different clubs and participate in activities there during those times!  Check the Daily Navigator or Navigator app for those scheduled hours!
