Our family of 5 is going on our first Disney cruise in March. What would you recommend for us to do in Nassau? Our boys are 12, 8, & 4. The Atlantis excursions are too expensive for our budget. If we have a beach day, which beach do you recommend?

    That's awesome to hear, Tina!

You and your family are well on your way to making magical memories that will last a lifetime.  You and your boys will have lots of fun things to do... so much, that if you think the Nassau (Atlantis and Blue Lagoon) port adventures are going to blow the budget -- then I would recommend staying on the ship that day.  You might actually find it quite relaxing, and the kids will likely have lots more fun going on the AquaDunk with less people in line. Just in case the parents want to walk around the port at Nassau, you can also leave your kids at the Youth Clubs. It will be the perfect time to sneak a quick trip to get some Tortuga Rum Cakes! These make great gifts - or yummy desserts when you are back home.  You can walk there and it'll take you only a few minutes to get off and get back on board. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the ship. You can also spend the day at the Spa (day use is available for a reasonable fee). My hubby and I had the whole Spa to ourselves when we were docked in Nassau.

Your Family Beach Day can be your day while at Castaway Cay - Disney's private island! I honestly think that this beats any of the beaches you'll find at Nassau.  You can spend all day at the beach, or you can take advantage of one of the many port adventures on Disney's private island paradise.  Your boys will love exploring the island all day!

I hope this helps.  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Bon voyage!
