    My family and I are going on our first Disney Cruise am I able to use my magic band us for the cruise or are they a different band that I would have to purchase?

    Welcome to planDisney Amy!  We enjoy helping first-time Disney Cruise Line Guests navigate their first magical voyage, so I am happy you found us. 

    If you have a MagicBand+ for Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort, you can use it on the Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Dream, and Disney Magic at this time.  I enjoy using it to access my stateroom and charge purchases to my stateroom folio.  Before embarking on your Disney Cruise Line Vacation, make sure your MagicBand+ is linked to your Disney account by logging into the Disney Cruise Line website and visiting the DisneyBand+ webpage.  Don't forget to charge it before your embark because you can use it upon port arrival, and then pack the charger that it came with.

    If you decide to purchase one of the exclusive DisneyBand+ Disney Cruise Line designs, you can order one between 45 days and 11 days from sailing, and your reservation must be paid in full.   There may also be some onboard for purchase (subject to availability).
