Ahoy Kassandra –
We are so excited to hear about your fabulous cruise planned next May. There is nothing like a vacation with
Disney Cruise Line to help you reconnect with your loved ones and get rejuvenated. I think pairing your cruise with a 1-week land vacation is definitely a great idea, and Orlando is a fun place to visit (and shop)!
It is definitely NOT a good idea to get too much prior to your trip because you will be responsible for all of the luggage you bring onboard. Initially, at the cruise terminal, your luggage will be checked in with porters so that bags can be scanned for security.
Sometime after boarding, your crew will receive all of your checked luggage at your stateroom door. In your stateroom, there is closet space and under the bed storage for your bags and suitcases. I suggest that you
pack light for the Orlando leg of your trip so that you have plenty of room to store all your goodies from shopping. There is
laundry service and self-service washers and dryers onboard in case you desire to pack light.
Kassandra, good luck with your cruise planning, and thanks for coming to visit with us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
