Greetings Rebecca, and welcome to planDisney! It's always my pleasure to chat with a fellow Pennsylvanian about the First Order, the Resistance, and of course, the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Rebecca, years ago my boys participated in Jedi Training Trials of the Temple, so I appreciate this question. Unfortunately, this activity is no longer available at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and while I don't have information if any type of similar show will be coming in the future, I am happy to chat about all of the other
Star Wars-related options for your brother and his family.
First, no matter if your brother's kids are sympathetic to the Empire or have rebel hearts, you'll want to encourage them to stop by
Star Wars Launch Bay to meet
Chewbacca,
Darth Vader, and
BB-8.
Next, since your brother was hoping for an interactive experience, I recommend checking out
Droid Depot or
Savi's Workshop. For an added fee, guests can build their own droid or lightsaber inside
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This is a popular activity, so you'll want to make reservations 60 days in advance of your visit if this is a must-do!
Rebecca, if you visited in 2020, you may have already wandered through Batuu, enjoyed a
blue (or green) milk, and experienced the attractions in this land, but if not, make sure to carve out some time to savor it all!
While likely not the news you (or your brother) was wishing to hear, I do hope that it's helpful as you plan your family's next visit. I'll encourage you to bookmark the
Disney Parks Blog as you're planning. This site will have all announcements about any additional activities or entertainment that might be added before your trip. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come on back to planDisney.
May the Force Be With You,
Lauren
