My family and I have been a few times before, but I have forgotten about how the tiers work for fast passes. How many tier 1 passes can we reserve? Also, should we avoid parks (due to possible crowd size) with EMH if we are not attending during EM hours?

    Hi Cindy!

I'm so excited to hear that you are planning your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There are so many new things you will be able to enjoy during your visit, in addition to everyone's favorites that you will be able to experience again. In fact, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens later this month, so you will be able to journey to a galaxy far, far away during your visit to explore Black Spire Outpost! Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and announcements about the magic you will be able to enjoy during your visit.

I'm glad that you are planning on taking advantage of the FastPass+ System because it's the best way to make the most of your time in the theme parks. Some of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks use a tier system for their FastPass+ reservations. If the theme park is using tiered reservations, you will be able to make one reservation for an attraction, Character Experience or entertainment event in the first tier and two reservations for the second tier, for a total of three advanced reservations. Keep in mind that you can begin making your reservations 30 days in advance, or 60 days in advance if you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest, and since FastPass+ reservations are limited, you want to make them early to get the best selection of reservations.

With the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge later this month, there are a lot of exciting things for Guests to enjoy during their fall vacations. From September 1 to November 2, 2019, Guests will be able to enjoy extra, Extra Magic Hours, where Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom will host morning Extra Magic Hours every day. This means that for your upcoming vacation, you really won't be able to avoid theme parks with Extra Magic Hours. So I recommend that you plan your vacation itinerary based on your "must-do" list and you may want to plan on starting your days early to beat some of the crowds!

Be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app because it's my favorite way to manage all of our vacation reservations during our trip.
