Hi! My family will be there 3/20, we are so excited! We will be park hopping & it is my first time using the Virtual Queue. If we get a spot & our group is called before we hop into the park, can we still go later when we get there? Thank you!

    Hi Candice!

You’re just a couple of days away from getting to experience the magic! How exciting that your family will be visiting soon, and it sounds like you're gearing up for an amazing time at the parks!

Let's dive into the Virtual Queue system, which is a fantastic tool for maximizing your Disney experience, especially for popular attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT and TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom.

    Here's how it works:

Virtual Queue Basics: The Virtual Queue allows you to reserve a spot in line for select attractions without physically waiting in line. Instead, you can enjoy other areas of the park until it's your turn to ride.

How to Use It: To secure a spot, you'll need to use your My Disney Experience app. Once you're in the park, navigate to the specific attraction within the app and check for available Virtual Queue slots. Be quick though, as these slots can fill up fast!

Best Strategy: My top tip is to be prepared! 7 am is the first official drop of the day. I highly recommend that you begin your Virtual Queue selection around 6:55 since it's your first time. You’ll want to open your My Disney Experience app, select “Virtual Queue” then choose “Join Virtual Queue.” You’ll want to choose the attraction you would like to experience and confirm your party before 7 am. Once the clock strikes 7 am you’ll want to refresh your screen to join that queue. If you don’t succeed at 7 am, they also offer another time at 1 pm to try to join the Virtual Queue. The caveat though is that you will need to have scanned into the Theme Park of the attraction that you want to experience for the 1 pm drop. Virtual Queue time spots tend to run out quickly, especially during peak periods such as Spring Break. When I used the Virtual Queue for the first time, I went to YouTube before using it and watched a video, so I knew exactly what to do!

Planning Your Day: It's crucial to plan your day around your Virtual Queue return times. Once you secure a spot, the app will give you an estimate of when your return time will be called.

Remember, you have one hour from the time your return time is called to enter the queue, so plan accordingly. Since these attractions are incredibly popular, Disney encourages guests to return within their given time frame. This helps keep the queues running smoothly and ensures everyone has a chance to experience the magic.

Backup Plan: If you're unable to secure a Virtual Queue return time, consider purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane pass to enjoy these attractions with minimal wait times.

If you're visiting EPCOT be sure to check out the vibrant EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Wishing you and your family an incredible time at the parks! Enjoy every magical moment and plan to make unforgettable memories together!
