Hello! Me and my family are excited for our first Disney Cruise aboard the Disney Wonder on September! We really want to use the DCL app to communicate aboard the ship. Will we all need a different account, or can we all just login into one? Thanks! :)

Ahoy there, Myrna! Welcome aboard planDisney! OH MY GOODNESS your crew's first Disney Cruise Line vacation, and you're going on my favorite ship in the fleet?! I can already tell you're going to have an incredible time!

With everything that's included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, like the amazing Broadway-caliber shows, gourmet dining, fantastic activities for the entire family - plus everything that makes the Disney Wonder unique -  your home away from home on the high seas is going to make you wish you could spend every day cruising the big blue!

When it comes to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, there's never been a more convenient way to know what's going on aboard the ship! I have great news, Myrna - when you board, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app transforms into more than a countdown and reservation manager, but it springs to life as your handy source for everything on the ship! From checking out when the shows start to checking dinner menus and everything in-between, you'll have the pulse on everything going on while aboard!

The chat feature you mentioned is the chocolatey coating on the Mickey Premium Bar, so to speak, and even better news: no account logins are necessary! I definitely suggest everyone download the app before leaving for your vacation. Once you're onboard, just be sure to have everyone connect to the shipboard Wi-Fi in airplane mode (they really should change that to "travel mode" or something...) and log into the app using your stateroom number, name, and birthdate! Oh, and for cruisers under the age of 13, you'll have parental control features to help manage what your little sailors can and can't do, including chat! Once everyone's logged-in, you'll be all set to chat the days away, using some of the most adorable Disney character-themed emojis you'll ever see!

My family loves to send strings of Disney emojis to let one another know our whereabouts on the ship - sometimes they get a bit obscure, but they're fun nonetheless! It's also a great way to check in on the little ones as they jet off to Disney's Oceaneer Club, Edge, or Vibe!

I hope that helps your crew get "plugged-in" and ready to enjoy all the amazing fun that awaits once you embark, Myrna! I can't wait for you to experience the Disney Wonder later this year and will be wishing for a truly magical vacation for you all! Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question, and if any others surface as you continue planning, you know where to find me here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
