My family is very excited about our cruise plans in Feb.My 6 year old has some major anxiety and fear issues. She has anxiety with people in costumes. How will this be handled if we decide to leave her in the oceaniers club?

    Hi Chelsia,

I'm excited for you!  A Disney cruise is an incredible vacation and I guarantee you'll have a magically memorable time.

I understand the issues you've mentioned.  I've come across many children's reactions when it comes to the characters.  It has been anywhere from wariness to definite panic.  You shouldn't worry about it while you're on your trip.  There are a few things that you can do.

When registering your princess on-line for the kids club there will be a section where you can add information/concerns.  Please note the issue there.  When you check her into the club for the first time speak to the counselors about the issue, and try to find out when characters are scheduled to visit the club.  The counselors are very well trained, and excellent at their jobs.  Please remember to check your Personal Navigator each evening so you can avoid the meet and greets at different locations on the ship each day.

I hope this helps.  Bon Voyage!
