My family has enjoyed many fantastic trips to wdw. I am a big star wars fan but not my dh. In 5/14 myself ds turning 12 & dd 9 r going to sww. Any tips for single parents traveling with kids? I booked a preferred room at POR to make amenities closer

    Hello Michelle!

As a fellow Star Wars fan and member of the Rebel Alliance, I salute you! You, your son and your daughter are going to have an amazing time at Star Wars Weekends this year. SWW is one of the best times to visit Walt Disney World, not just for fans, but for families in general. There will be special appearances, "star conversations" with celebrities, parades and lots of activities to participate in throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios. If your kids are big Star Wars: The Clone Wars fans, be sure to have them search for characters from the show. They tend to pop up when you least expect them.

There are autograph signings from Star Wars celebrities during the weekend, so be sure to put one of those sessions on your to-do list. One tip: these signings tend to bring out the big fans, so plan to arrive before the parks open. Big SWW fans call this "Storming the Park" and it's a pretty cool bonding event (watch out for Storm Troopers)!  Also, check into the Disney Parks blog for more Star Wars Weekends updates, events and surprises.

I hope I answered your question correctly. If you have any more, please feel free to ask us. Enjoy your stay and have a "Barvy" good time!
