My family would like to eat at the Garden Grill for dinner on our trip in October. We will be taking our two kids with us, but they are a bit picky when it comes to salad dressing and gravy like sauces. Are you able to ask for those items on the side?

    Hi Melissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Garden Grill Restaurant is such a magical character dining experience. Mickey is over-the-top adorable in his overalls, Pluto, Chip, and Dale are just so much fun to interact with, and, to top it all off, you are slowly rotating through the Living with the Land attraction. How dreamy is that?

Melissa, my son survives on string cheese and hot dogs, so when I read your question I knew I could provide some insight. When we ate at Garden Grill Restaurant, we had an absolutely wonderful server who made sure everyone had food we would enjoy, served just the way we wanted. Despite the family-style dinner being completely delicious with tons of options, my son could not find anything he liked. Our server actually left Garden Grill and went downstairs to Sunshine Seasons to get him a Smucker’s Uncrustables sandwich. Now, I can’t promise you will have this magical level of service, but I use this example a lot because it demonstrates just how much Disney Cast Members will work with you to make your visit a happy one. You should absolutely request dressings and sauces on the side if that's what your family needs or prefers; this is not an unusual request at all, and I bet you will find that your server takes wonderful care of your family during your meal.

Don’t forget your autograph books for this magical character meal, and be ready to have fun with Mickey and friends! My other tip is that when you arrive, politely request a table with a good view of the attraction. My family loved watching Living with the Land go by as we ate, and it was extra fun to head down and ride the attraction after our meal.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
