My family and I want to eat at the Coral Reef on the dining plan mainly for the atmosphere. None of us like seafood and were planning on ordering chicken or steak. Do we have to order what is on the prix fixe menu since we are on the dining plan?

    Hello Kelly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be excited about planning your dining reservations for your October visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Coral Reef Restaurant is indeed a wonderful dining location featuring the largest inland saltwater environment ever built! You’ll have your meal in the company of sharks, rays, sea turtles, and many other species that you can identify with the help of the complimentary Fish Guides. You can even turn this into a game with your whole family to see who can spot more species!

If you are using entitlements from your Disney Dining Plan, each Table-Service meal includes one (1) entrée, one (1) dessert, and one (1) nonalcoholic beverage. You don’t have to order from the prix fixe menu, but if you choose to do so you will have to pay an additional amount in addition to redeeming your entitlements.

My favorite entrées without seafood are the Grilled New York Strip Steak or the Oven-Roasted Chicken Breast. For kids I suggest the Grilled Chicken Skewers and the Jr. Reef Steak. One final tip: adults 21 and over should definitely try the Baileys and Jack Daniel’s Mousse, which is one of my favorite desserts at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly! I hope you enjoy the Coral Reef Restaurant and that you make great memories during your visit.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
