Heather from VA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Our family is going to DW January 23-31, 2026. We want to spend one day each in Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom, two days each in Epcot & Magic Kingdom, and a day to rest. What are the best days to visit each park? Should we do park hopper?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Heather!

We are so happy to be hearing from you again, and hope that you are getting really excited for your upcoming adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth! January is going to be here before you know it!

While I can’t guarantee that my suggestions will be the “perfect” option for you, I can say that this is what I would do as a seasoned Guest if I were planning to visit the theme parks on the same dates as you!

Since you’re staying for quite some time, I don’t think you need to add a Park Hopper option unless you specifically want to go to multiple parks per day. (Remember you can always upgrade your tickets once at the theme parks if you change your mind, Heather, just visit any Guest Services location.)

Here is the schedule I would personally follow:
-Friday, January 23: Arrive and settle in
-Saturday, January 24: First day at EPCOT
-Sunday, January 25: Second day at Animal Kingdom
-Monday, January 26: Third day at Magic Kingdom
-Tuesday, January 27: Fourth day take a rest day
-Wednesday, January 28: Fifth day at Hollywood Studios
-Thursday, January 29: Sixth day at EPCOT
-Friday, January 30: Seventh day at Magic Kingdom
-Saturday, January 31: Eighth day heading home

Based on what I think the crowd levels will be (and what I would personally do) I believe the above suggested schedule would be a good outline for your trip!

On your rest day, consider making a dining reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. My suggestion would be Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

If you have any additional questions, we’d love to hear from you again at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,
    Allyn
