My family and I will be in DW the first week of December. I've been advised to pack and dress in layers, but is the weather/temperature at the time of year more shorts weather or pants weather? I just want to make sure I'm dressing my kids appropriately!

    Hi there, Laura!

As a Floridian myself, I am rarely out of jeans after mid-November. However, Guests who come from warmer climes might be comfortable either way.

Historically, the average high is 73F, while the average low is 53F. That's mid-late December, though, so consider November's data in to your packing: the average high is 79F, with the average low at 59F.

In all likelihood, for Guests used to snowy, icy conditions, shorts would be fine for the daytime. And if layered properly, they might work for the evenings, as well. I'm hesitant, of course, to make any recommendations one way or the other because without knowing your family members and their preferences, I would not want to risk steering anyone wrong!

Additionally, it can be tricky to predict the winter weather here in Florida, so please be on top of the forecasts about a week before you set off on your trip.

    Have a wonderful time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
