Family is going to DW for the first time in May 2012, we do not have credit cards; can we use a debit card # to make purchases on our Key To The World Card or do we need to bring extra cash for a deposit to leave at the resort we are staying at?

    Hi Patricia!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  You can use a debit card for charging privileges on your Key to the World card.  Just know that Disney will hold some amount, depending on the category of your resort you stay at, and that it can take a couple of days after you check-out for that hold to be completely released (or the balance that needs to be released).

Another option is to assign a credit card to your Key to the World card but then to stop by the front desk every night and pay off the balance with a debit card or cash.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
