My  family and I are DVC members. We are staying the first time at the Old Key West Hotel in a 2 bedroom villa. We were wondering if it is like the two bedroom villa in the jumbo house near animal kingdom?

Howdy Barry!  You are going to love Disney's Old Key West Resort! Old Key West is a tranquil and charming and is a short boat ride away from the shopping, dining and entertainment at Downtown Disney.

Like all Disney Vacation Club Resorts, you will be welcomed home and feel right at home in your spacious and beautiful 2-Bedroom Villa!

You will find similar amenities to what you had at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House, including the full kitchen and washer and dryer.  If needed, you might want to take additional coffee, laundry detergent, etc. as you will receive trash and towel service and/or full housekeeping based on the standard schedule (unless you requested additional services for a fee).

As far as some of the other comparisons outside of the villas, both resorts are similar with exception to the following: Old Key West has a small beach area but Animal Kingdom Lodge does not. Old Key West has BBQ Grills available to Guests but Jambo House does not (BBQ Grills are available at Kidani Village). Old Key West has a Community Hall but Jambo House does not (Community Hall is located at Kidani Village). Old Key West does not offer Room Service but Animal Kingdom Villas do. Old Key West does not offer supervised child care but Animal Kingdom Villas do. Disney transportation options to and from Old Key West include bus or boat whereas Animal Kingdom is exclusively bus transportation. Old Key West offers volleyball, fishing, bike rentals and watercraft rentals.

The biggest difference is that rather than looking outside of your villa and seeing the beauty and majesty of animals, you will see the beauty and majesty of golfers as they try to hit a hole in one or Guests walking or jogging throughout Old Key West as they enjoy the beauty of the resort.

I hope you have a magical vacation!! Please let me know if you have any further questions as you put the final touches on your vacation planning!
