My family is driving down on Aug. 21st we plan on staying at a hotel that night then the next morning going to the park we are staying at Port Orlens Riverside. Will we be able to enter the park and play then go to iur hotel that afternoon?

There have been several trips in which we stayed off-site on our first night. It's a way to keep costs down and to feel well-rested before driving underneath the welcoming "Walt Disney World" sign!

If you already have your park tickets or if you will be purchasing them at the park's gate, then you can definitely go directly to one of the WDW parks on your first full morning. After enjoying the park, I would suggest a mid-day break to go check in to your resort.

If you have purchased tickets via a WDW Magic Your Way vacation package, you'll need to first go to your resort, Port Orleans Riverside, to check in. At check in, you'll receive your tickets and then be able to proceed to your first park. Feel free to stop at the Front Desk very early so that you can still get to the park at opening time!
