My family and I are driving to Disney from Upstate New York in a short 9 days. We did the online check-in. Will we receive an e-mail on that date when our room is ready and to let us know the room number? Thank you!

    Hi Christine,

I love the online check-in option. It makes arrival at Walt Disney World so easy. And, if you already have your MagicBands, you can even skip the front desk completely if you choose -- just head straight to your room.

When you completed online check-in, there should have been a space to fill in your mobile phone information and give permission to receive text messages about your room. (If you didn't do that, I suggest you edit your form to include it.) When I used the online check-in this past weekend, I got one text at my estimated time of arrival, letting me know the room wasn't quite ready. I was still about a half hour away from our resort. A few minutes later, I got another text with our room number.

We arrived at the resort, used our MagicBand to enter the gate and went straight to the room to unload our luggage before hopping on a bus to Epcot. It was incredibly efficient. We never visited the front desk.

Thanks, Christine, for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let us know if you need any last-minute help before your Walt Disney World vacation. It's not long now!

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
