My family will be on the Dream on 7/1. I will have 1 child in Vibe & 1 in Edge. It sounds like there are computers in each. Are they Internet accessible? Is this free access? If not could you explain the rate structure? Is it daily? Is it hourly?

    Hi, Linda!

That's exciting that you and your family will be sailing on the beautiful Disney Dream this summer -- she is a stylish and oh-so spectacular ship! Plus, the ship is brimming with the latest in technology and innovation. I also have teens and tweens who have enjoyed Edge and Vibe on the Disney Dream.

Disney knows how much kids love technology, and Edge is full of it! There are individual computer stations with notebook computers available to play games and access a special onboard social media application designed just for them. With this application, kids can leave each other messages and post photos and videos for their new onboard friends. The internet service at Edge is included in the price of your cruise fare, but it is limited.

Technology reigns at Vibe, too, and the central area of the space is a media room -- complete with a 100+-inch LCD screen with digital surround sound, perfect for movies and video games. Computer stations allow access to a special onboard social media application designed just for them -- allowing them access to leave each other messages and post photos/videos. This service is included, but is also limited. Also, at Vibe, the room's walls are lined with built-in oval seats made to look like portholes. These nooks are perfect for hanging out and watching TV, reading or listening to music. Make sure your teens bring their MP3 players to enjoy in these spaces. Of course, if they're like my teens, it's hard to get them our of their ears anyway.

If you would like more information on staying connected at sea while on your vacation, you can also check out the Internet/Cellular Services Page on DisneyCruise.com to find out wireless hotspots on the ship as well as internet service rates. I hope that helps you plan.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
