My family and I will be down there in November and i was thinking about the Jedi training for my son. My son is in wheelchair so my question is, is he going to be able to participate?

Hi, Jackie!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to a galaxy far, far away.

It sounds like the Force is strong with your family, so I'm sure you are looking forward to experiencing the Star Wars universe at Disney's Hollywood Studios during your upcoming visit.  Whether you're traveling to the planet Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge or signing your younglings up to take on the Dark Side at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, you're sure to have a blast living your very own Star Wars adventure.

I have visited the Walt Disney World Resort with a child who has a cognitive disability, as well as family members who have mobility needs.  I have always been so impressed with Walt Disney World's Services for Guests with Disabilities.  They really go above and beyond to make the magic accessible to everyone.

I called and spoke to a Cast Member in Disability Services.  She told me that children using wheelchairs are welcome to participate in Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.  In order for your son to participate, he will need a parent or another adult from your travel party to accompany him and push his wheelchair during the Jedi Training experience.  The upper level of the Jedi Training stage is only accessible by stairs, so your son will be given a spot on the lower, ground-level of the stage area, along with some of the other young padawans in his Jedi Training class.

Please keep in mind that Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is a popular experience and there are a limited number of spots available for participation each day.  I recommend signing your son up first thing in the morning when you arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Currently, registration for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple takes place at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost located between the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! and the 50’s Prime Time Café.  You will also want to keep in mind that all Jedi Training participants must be between 4 and 12 years of age and need to be present at the time of registration.

I know that your son is going to love putting his skills to the test to conquer the Dark Side!  May the Force be with you!
