Family with Mickey and Minnie

My family is doing reservations separately and my brother and I aren't able to reserve on a day that they already hold reservations. I was wondering is there a way to link our accounts into a party so we can all go together?

Hi there, Paulina! I'm so happy you found your way to planDisney. We just love helping Guests plan their visits to the Happiest Place on Earth! I can see that we are just a few short weeks away from your trip. Let's get right to your question so you can start dreaming about churros and popcorn!

It sounds like your family already knows the ins and outs of the new-ish theme park reservation system. Theme park reservations have really helped Mickey and Minnie in knowing how many Guests to expect at the Disneyland Resort each day! I'm so sorry to hear that reservations are currently full for your date - I know that can put a little damper on the magic, but don't put the spark out just yet. While you are not able to link to your family to secure a theme park reservation, it does not mean that you are out of luck! Guests are constantly changing and modifying their plans and, sometimes, Disneyland Resort itself releases more reservations. Reservations can (and often do!) open up! I would keep an eye on the theme park reservation calendar over the next few weeks, especially on the days leading up to your date. The calendar updates live as changes are made, so be ready with some fast fingers if you see May 18th become available!

When it comes to enjoying your park day with your family, Iinking tickets together is a great idea! If you have upgraded to Genie+, this will allow you to make Lightning Lane selections as a group with just a few taps of your magic wand ... I mean a few taps within the Disneyland Mobile App! Once you have (hopefully!) secured your theme park reservations, linking tickets together can be done in three easy steps:

    1. Open up your Disneyland Mobile App and tap on the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Tickets and Passes".
    2. You will see a "+" in the top right-hand corner of the next screen. Tap that to reveal a drop-down menu. Click into "Link Tickets & Passes".
    3. On this next screen you can scan each of the ticket barcodes directly from each of your family members' phones. If you are not together ahead of your trip, you can also have them send you the ticket ID confirmation numbers and manually enter each one by selecting "Enter the ID number" at the bottom of the screen.
I'm sending a little pixie dust your way in the hopes that the reservation calendar opens up for you! If you haven't added Genie+ to your tickets, it's always an option for you to upgrade as soon as you scan into your park day! With Genie+ you will get access to those time-saving Lightning Lanes AND unlimited digital downloads of all the Disney PhotoPass photos you take that day. I just love capturing the magic and making those memories last forever!

Paulina, if we can be helpful in any other way, please come back to see us. We are always here for you at planDisney!

    Never stop dreaming,
    Tara
