Hi our family is going to Disney/Orlando in March 2018 and wanted to see what specific activities are recommended for my children who are age 10, 7, and 5. Looking for princess stuff or pirate stuff. Good activities to sign them up for. thanks. Shanu

    Hi Shanu,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting! I am delighted to offer a few suggestions for your upcoming trip.

First, if you have not done so already, let me suggest that you book a vacation package at a Walt Disney World resort hotel. My family loves the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. In particular, we have grown to rely on making our advanced dining reservations 180 days in advance and our FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance. Find the resort hotel with the room type and amenities that best fit your budget.

Given the ages of your children, I suggest that you check the attractions list to see the height requirements for each ride. These are some of my girls' favorites:

    • Magic Kingdom - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Speedway
    • Epcot - Soarin' Around the World, Frozen Ever After, Test Track, Mission Space
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios - Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom - Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, Kilimanjaro Safaris

Shanu, there are lots of character dining experiences that your kids might enjoy. Since we have princess rebels, our girls typically have adorned their princess attire to dine with their royal friends and have also joined forces to fight the Dark Side at Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. Be sure to review the information on Disney Princesses and Pirates at Walt Disney World Resort. Ahoy Matey!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
