Greetings, Jamie, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited for your Disneyland Resort adventures to begin in just a few more days! You’re going to have so much fun creating magical memories at the Happiest Place on Earth.
I’m so glad to hEAR that you’ll be using
Disney MaxPass during your vacation, too. It’s such a helpful tool to make the most of your time in the parks! Unlike FastPass+ at Walt Disney World Resort, you’re unable to make
FASTPASS reservations ahead of time at the
Disneyland Resort. Instead, by utilizing Disney MaxPass, you’ll be able to start making FASTPASS selections on your phone as soon as you enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.
Here’s how it works: First, you’ll want to download the
Disneyland app in order to use MaxPass. Click on “My Tickets,” then select the “+” sign in the upper right corner. Select “Link Tickets & Passes.” Scan the barcode for each ticket you’d like to link, or enter the ticket ID numbers manually. Once you’re inside the parks, simply tap “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass” if it’s not already included as part of your ticket. The next screen will prompt you to make a FASTPASS party. If your tickets are already linked, they’ll show up here. Select or deselect which tickets to use for each attraction, and off you go! You’ll get the hang of it in no time!
If you have
Park Hopper tickets, you can make FASTPASS selections for either park, even when you're not inside that specific park. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are just steps away from each other, making park hopping easily accessible.
Though you aren’t able to make FASTPASS reservations ahead of time, I do recommend mapping out your Disney days. This is a great way to ensure you don’t miss any of your “must-do” shows, parades, or experiences. Here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your arrival date.
Wishing you a magical, pixie-dusted vacation, Jamie!
