Hello! I am going with my family to Disneyland in two weeks. We have tickets for admission into the park for two days are we going to have to leave the park at 6pm and not be able to watch the Halloween night parades and fireworks from in the park?

Hey there, hi there, Marie! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question about your upcoming visit.

The countdown is on! I hope you are getting excited for your upcoming visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. While I don't have all the details about your upcoming visit, I should be able to put your worries to rest. Currently, Oogie Boogie Bash, which is a special ticketed event, takes place on certain nights of the week throughout the Halloween season. On nights of this event, Disney California Adventure Park does close at 6:00 p.m. for Guests without a separate ticket for the event. This does not affect Disneyland Park, which operates with normal park hours. The Frightfully Fun Parade only takes place during Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure. However, the Halloween Screams projection show, which is accompanied by fireworks on select nights, is over at Disneyland Park. While it's not Halloween themed, the Paint the Night parade does take place over at Disneyland Park at night.

I am not sure if you are visiting both parks or just Disneyland, but you can head to the Daily Events Schedule to see if you will be visiting on an Oogie Boogie Bash Night. If you want to adjust your plans, you can always modify your theme park ticket reservations.

Marie, I hope this information helps you better plan and prepare for how to enjoy the parks during your visit. If you have any other questions for us, you know where to find us!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
