Greetings, Jolyn!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your trip is right around the corner! I just love taking vacations to the Disneyland Resort during January and February. Crowds are lighter and temperatures are cooler making for a really enjoyable trip where we can take things a little bit slower versus the more popular holiday months.
Checking the
Daily Events Schedule, it does appear that there are no parades or fireworks scheduled at this time, but this doesn't mean you can't have some extremely memorable evenings in the parks. Some of my favorite experiences at the Disneyland Resort happen when the sun goes down. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, I love cruising down Route 66 in Cars Land to check out all the amazing neon before heading over to Radiator Springs Racers. Riding this attraction at night is a completely different experience compared to during the day and actually my preference. Also in Disney California Adventure Park, I suggest visiting
Pixar Pier in the evenings to check out the whimsical lights. Even better is grabbing a seat at Lamplight Lounge to see these amazing nighttime views while enjoying some delicious dishes.
In Disneyland Park, my favorite nighttime location is Tomorrowland, and one of my favorite details is the neon astronaut Mickey outside The Star Trader. I also love riding the Disneyland Monorail and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage in the evening as both attractions take on a whole different feeling in the dark.
I hope this helps you make the most of your evenings in the Happiest Place on Earth!
