I want to take my family to Disneyland for their first time. Is I.D. required to get in to California Adventures/ Disneyland Parks because my parents will not get their valid I.D.‘s until after the trip, so that has me a bit concerned.

Hi there, Alex. Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you’ve stopped by!

I’m delighted to hear you’ll be taking the family to the Happiest Place on Earth for the first time. It truly is a magical place. Disneyland Resort has been my family’s happy place, where we celebrated life’s milestones, for as long as I can remember.

I have visited several times since Disneyland Resort reopened after the pandemic closure. I have not been asked to present my photo ID upon entry into the parks. When you first scan your ticket for entry, a Cast Member will take a photo of you that links to the ticket. So if you leave and re-enter the park later in the day (or you enter the other park after 1 PM with a Park Hopper ticket), your photo will show up on the computer screen at the entry turnstile.

I hope this information is helpful for you. I wish you and your family the most magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have more questions for us, please feel free to write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
