My family and I are going to Disneyland in December - shh don't tell the kids- to celebrate my milestone bday. This will be our 1st time visiting during the winter. What kind of special events will be going on? What can I do to make this present magical?

There are so many wonderful parts to your question. Disneyland in December is simply spectacular. The entire parks is decorated with the joyful holiday spirit. No where is this more evident then when you look at Sleeping Beauty castle with its snow covered spires and looking as lovely as ever. You certainly will be overjoyed that you visited the Happiest Place on Earth in December. As for the milestone birthday, there is no better place to spend that special day then at the Disneyland Resort. You can make this whole day more magical by starting at City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. to get your Birthday Celebration Recognition Pin with your name on it. You really ought couple the personalized pin with 'it's my birthday' Mickey Mouse Ears. There is no doubt that you will receive your share of birthday wishes from both cast members and guests which really adds to the magical memories that this trip is all about. As for special events during the holiday season there are so many. I would begin with a ride on the  "it's a small world" Holiday, and embrace holiday festivities around the globe. Or, the widely popular Haunted Mansion Holiday, where the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas takes over and creates a amazing overlay on this classic attractions. Don't forget to smll the gingerbread. I would totally recommend experiencing 'A Christmas Fantasy Parade' with all you favorite Disney characters and a visit by old St. Nick too. There will be so many wonderful memories waiting for you and your family this holiday season at Disneyland. There is so much to see that I have not even mentioned the opening of Carsland this summer which is going to make this year even cooler. Have a magical vacation.
