Hey, howdy, hey, Christopher!
It’s great to have you back again at planDisney! I would be happy to share some information about two of my favorite topics: Disney Parks and technology.
Each member of your party with a mobile device and a
Disney profile is welcome to sign in to their own account in the
Disneyland mobile app. All mobile app users may link
theme park tickets and
Disneyland Resort Hotel reservations to their accounts. Guests without a cellular data plan on their compatible devices may take advantage of complimentary
Wi-Fi Internet access available in many locations throughout the Disneyland Resort.
To link tickets in the app, open the “Tickets and Passes” screen from the ☰ feature menu and tap on the “Link Tickets & Passes” button to scan the ticket code displayed on another device that already has the tickets linked.
Tony’s Tip: All members of the party with tickets linked to their account in the Disneyland app may use the app to purchase and manage the
Disney Genie+ service for all of the linked tickets, including booking
Lightning Lane return times. Booking return times for the
individual Lightning Lane of attractions not included with Genie+ is also possible from all of the linked accounts. If members of your party happen to split up into multiple groups, Lightning Lane bookings can also be done for subsets of the tickets to book return times for different attractions. And don’t forget about joining a
Virtual Queue, currently used for preferred viewing areas for the
World of Color nighttime spectacular.
To link a hotel reservation, open the “My Hotel Reservation” screen from the ☰ feature menu. Guests will need the reservation number, last name of the primary Guest, and the arrival date to link a hotel reservation. The primary Guest may also grant permission for other Guests to use their devices to
unlock their hotel room door.
Dining reservations may only be linked with one account. So I find that sharing a screenshot of the reservations with others in my party is a good way to keep everyone on the same page. And any user with a
payment method linked to their account or a
Disney Gift Card may place a
mobile food and beverage order or use
Merchandise Mobile Checkout.
One last thing I recommend is to also download the separate
Play Disney Parks app. With games, trivia, and access to the
Star Wars: Datapad, the Play Disney Parks app is one of my favorite ways to enhance a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
Have a magical time, Christopher!
