    Hi my family will be in Disney World in a week!!! We would love to dine at Jiko but have a 3 & 5 year old daughters. Do you think this would be a appropriate restaurant? Or any other recommendations for fine dining on a short notice..

    Hi Brian:

    I'm a dad of two young boys, a five-year old and a just-turned-four-year old. Both boys have eaten at Jiko on two different occasions. While the atmosphere is sophisticated, my family and my boys have felt very comfortable dining at Jiko. The menu is subject to change, but my boys have enjoyed macaroni and cheese, steak, and chicken dishes at Jiko in the past, plus delicious desserts, including ice cream and s'mores. I would keep the reservation, especially since it sounds like you want to eat at a fine dining establishment. It would be tough getting a last minute reservation at another signature restaurant, and even if you got lucky, I can't think of other signature restaurants your kids may enjoy more.  You can try California Grill or Coral Reef, but I think you'll be very happy at Jiko.
