Emily from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello my family and I will be going to Disney World this summer. We have purchased the table service dinning plan, and I would like to see if we want to make a reservation for Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. I was wondering how the dinning plan will work here?

Hey there, Emily, and welcome to planDisney! My fellow Panelists and I are here and happy to answer all kinds of questions about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I especially love chatting about all things dining - there is absolutely no shortage of amazing food and beverage items at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

You and your family must be so excited to visit Walt Disney World Resort this summer! The countdown is on! I'm so glad that you've decided to use the Disney Dining Plan. It's my favorite way to make my vacation feel more all-inclusive. It also encourages me to try new and different dining experiences, like Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, where you can get a close-up look at the artful sushi as it's being prepared by the expert chefs. I know you are hoping to get more information about how to use your dining plan here, so what I can tell you is that there will be a prix-fixe menu that you will receive upon arrival, with all of the choices that will be eligible to the dining plan. At this time, the menu is not posted online, so there isn't a way to know exactly what will be offered. There's also a chance that this menu will change seasonally.

Emily, if you're looking for a great sushi experience at EPCOT that doesn't require an Advance Dining Reservation, try out Katsura Grill. I highly recommend sitting outside under a shady tree, next to the peaceful pond. If your timing is right, you might be treated to the rhythmic sounds of Japanese Taiko drums at the Matsuriza performance. If you're looking for a little bit of an adventure, my fellow planDisney Panelist and friend, Kristi, says that the sushi at Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is fantastic!

I hope that you find some amazing sushi during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. If you need any recommendations on where to find other great meals, snacks, and beverages, I'm your girl!

    Bon appetit!
