My family and I will be at Disney World from September 20-24 of this year. We can only fit in one afternoon to evening at the Animal Kingdom, with this limited amount of time, which attractions and rides do you recommend we see? Thanks!

Hello, Colleen! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Pane. Thank you for bringing us your question!

Colleen, any time amount at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks is a good time! Although your visit will be short, I have great news for you! You will be able to experience the brand-new land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Pandora- The World of Avatar!

This out of this world experience will take you on an adventure like no other. You will be able to ride a banshee on the Avatar Flight of Passage attraction, walk underneath floating rocks in the valley of Mo’ara, and be mesmerized by the bioluminescent sights on the Na’vi River Journey. Pandora opens May 27th, and I for one cannot wait to see and experience it.

Another wonderful thing about your visit is that you will get to experience Disney’s Animal Kingdom in two ways; during the day and at nigh, when it becomes alive with magic. This park completely transforms when the sun sets and attractions like Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain and Kilimanjaro Safaris take on a whole new life. Don’t miss the nighttime entertainment as you close the evening out with Rivers of Light; a beautiful celebration of nature, light, music, and animal folklore.

I hope you have a magical visit! Be sure to come back and see us again soon. It’s our pleasure to help you as you plan your upcoming visit. ~Emille
