My family will be in Disney World from October 7-14, 2017. My time to make my dining reservations is nearing and I was wondering when I may expect the park hours to be released for those dates, to help me plan which days I will attend each park. Thanks.

    Hi Michael!

October is one of my favorite times of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort...the weather tends to be great, and there is usually lower crowd levels in the Parks due to kids being back in school. Your trip also coincides with two of my favorite special events, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and the Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party!

While currently Walt Disney World Theme Park Hours & Calendars have only been released up to October 6, 2017 (the day before you arrive), generally Park Hours are released approximately six months in advance. Therefore, I expect we will be seeing an update for the rest of October on the calendar very soon. I suggest you keep watching over the next week for further updates.

In the meantime, if you wish to get a sense of what park hours were for October in past years to give you an idea of what to expect for this year, you may wish to consult either touringplans.com or easywdw.com. Please note that these are both independent websites which are not affiliated with the Walt Disney company in any way, nor does Disney endorse the accuracy of the information. However, in the past I have personally found that these websites have provided accurate and valuable information which has allowed me to map out predicted park hours before the official schedules are released.

Don't forget that dining reservations open 180 days in advance. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will be able to make reservations for the duration of your stay (up to 10 consecutive days) 180 days prior to Resort check in.

    Bon Appétit!
