My family and I are going to Disney World in November. I already made our ADR, but now I'm worried about Fastpasses and Extra Magic Hours. We have 1 park-per-day for 4 Days. How far in advance does Disney release times for Extra Magic Hours.

Hey there, Nicole. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I'm so glad you've already gotten a jump start on planning your Walt Disney World vacation. I'm a major planner too, so I am applauding your efforts! Typically, you can find the Standard Park Hours and the Extra Magic Hours information released about 6 months in advance. I took a look at the calendar for you and I think you'll be excited to know that all that information is already available during your vacation dates. As you get a little closer to your vacation, however, do a quick check back to make sure everything has stayed the same. Sometimes, I've noticed that they'll go back in and add an additional park for Extra Magic Hours or something like that the closer you get to your reservation.

It sounds like you are really wanting to get the most out of each day while you are at Walt Disney World. I'd like to share with you how I plan my day and maybe it will give you some ideas for yours. I always take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, you are going to be able to cross so much off of your must-do list during this time. Only certain areas of the park is open during this time so be sure to familiarize yourself with the attraction list before your trip. In the morning, we try to arrive early. The complimentary park transportation starts running about 45 minutes prior to park opening and I always try to be on the first bus. Once the park opens, I just hit attraction to attraction. I don't make my first FastPass+ selection until at least 10:00 a.m. In the mornings, you can do so much without waiting too long in line. I find it's a waste of a selection to use it much earlier. I notice that during the lunchtime hours the wait is always the longest. This is when I use our FastPass+ selections. Doing it this way, I am able to fly on to 3 main attractions and enjoy a nice lunch with little to no wait. Planning it out this way makes this part of the day really enjoyable. After we've used our initial selections, I hop on the My Disney Experience app and select our first rolling FastPass+ experience and do this until no more selections are available for the day. Then I like to top the day off with the nighttime firework show. It's a great way to plan the day!

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask. Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
