Hello my family and I are going to Disney world next yr... I have my son who has Autism and new unplanned things scare him... What can I do to help him enjoy his visit at Disney World?? Can the staff at Disney World help me in this?

Walt Disney World is dedicated to making sure that every guest has a magical experience. To that end cast members will do everything they can to ensure that your whole party is a having fun. Perhaps the best idea is to obtain a Guest Assistance Card (GAC) from guest services prior to entering the parks. The GAC allows the guest and up to 5 members in the party to avoid certain queues and other alternatives to make sure that his needs are met. You also might want to obtain a park schedule and make sure to avoid situations and attractions in the parks that might tend to cause an issue. To obtain a GAC just contact guest services upon arrival. While it is not necessary to bring a note from a physician, I find it to be very helpful to the cast member to help them determine what the best way to make this the best vacation ever. They will assist you in determining what steps will help make him happy. I hope this assists you and I will see you at the parks.
