My family will be at Disney World mid-May 2014. We have a 3 year old girl & my in-laws have trouble getting around. Looking at the 3 resorts on monorail. Out of the 3, which resort is the best? Can afford garden view at Poly & GF, & theme park

    Hi Jason:

This question has three correct answers.  And if you asked three different panelists, you'll get three different answers. Thankfully, I'm always happy to give my opinion, which in my not so objective view, has the right answer.

For my family, which consists of two boys, the Polynesian is our favorite of the three monorail Resorts.  We love the themeing, the on-site restaurants, the beach, it being in walking distance to the Ticket and Transportation Center, which leads to more transportation options.

When I was six, I would have said the Contemporary as I'll never forget the wonder I felt as a boy seeing the monorail run right through the Resort's A-frame design.  The Resort is also in walking distance to Magic Kingdom.  But to me, the Resort has a sliiiightly convention feel, which puts it right behind the Polynesian.

Grand Floridian is the crown jewel of Disney Resorts.  However, it's a bit too fancy for my boys.  However, if your three year old daughter and in-laws would appreciate the upscale theming and the shopping options right on sight, you may consider Grand Floridian over the Polynesian.

Enjoy your vacation.  It sounds like it's going to be wonderful no matter where you stay.
